The term microfibre stitched pad may describe a fine fibre textile surface and a stitched edge or layer. The exact construction varies by product. Inspect where the stitching holds the material, how flexible the edge remains and how it behaves during sewing.
Appearance in a garment
Edge thickness affects what shows through the shell fabric as much as the cut of the pad does. A stitch line may be visible under a light jacket fabric but look different under a heavier cloth. Assess suitability with the real pattern and material.
Before ordering
Microfibre by itself does not guarantee a specific fibre composition or care performance. Confirm the composition, stitch construction and care conditions from technical information, and describe the assembly method when requesting a sample.
Why inspect the stitched edge?
A seam may hold layers together, but its appearance alone cannot establish flexibility or strength. Examine stitch density, accumulated edge thickness and the cut end of a sample. A pilot run using the intended seam allowance and pressing settings can reveal marks under the outer fabric before full production.
